Data protection has always been a hot topic when it comes to schools and nurseries and one that is going to be even more scrutinised in 2018 as schools need to make sure they adhere to GDPR* compliance.

When it comes to tracking and reporting we still encounter schools piecing together reports in Microsoft Word/Excel documents and transporting student information on USB sticks. Not only is this massively counterproductive and laborious for staff, it’s also a very dangerous way to obtain and transfer children’s information.

Using Report Writer, because all student data is encrypted and hosted on secure servers (in the UK with UKFast), teachers can access reports and student information from any browser securely and simultaneously.

Teachers can be working on a single child report at the same time with no worry of overwriting data or needing to save to a USB stick to bring back into school.  Eliminating any risk of data loss or duplication.

If you’d like to find out more about how secure Report Writer is or how easy it is to publish reports using our app, then feel free to get in touch.  We’re always happy to visit your school or nursery for a cuppa and a student reports demo.

*The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) is a regulation by which the European Parliament, the Council of the European Union and the European Commission intend to strengthen and unify data protection for all individuals within the European Union (EU).
